RURAL ENTERPRISE GRANT
Due to a Rural Enterprise Grant awarded to Kington Show in 2010, the Society has been able to purchase much needed equipment for the public visiting the show and livestock exhibitors. Items bought are:-
30 picnic tables and parasols which will be around the showground for rest and recouperation for those tired legs!
300 crowd barriers which will be situated around the main ring.
300 sheep hurdles for sheep exhibitors.
40 stock gates for cattle exhibitors.
Breed information boards which will be displayed next to the animals shown to give more information on each breed.
The Society would very much like to thank all those concerned in helping us attain this grant.
The society has again organised Event Mobility to attend, where they will provide powered wheelchairs and electric scooters for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors to the show. This has been achieved by a grant very kindly received from Kington Town Council. Event Mobility is a charitable organisation and operates entirely from the generosity of donations. For further information, for booking a wheelchair or electric scooter, visit their website www.eventmobility.org.uk or contact the Event Mobility office on 01386 725391. Disabled parking has been organised and will be available at the show.
